President

I spent childhood summers camping, hiking and backpacking in California’s Sierra Nevada, and exploring western national parks, instilling in me a lifelong love of nature and wildlife, birds and wildflowers. That passion was sparked at age two, picking wild strawberries in a stream-side meadow with my father, an avid fly fisherman who also first introduced me to the Henry’s Fork.

A former fundraising professional for public television and California’s Chapman University and University of LaVerne, I transitioned my skills in management, board development, fundraising and public relations, to support conservation, helping launch Henrys Fork Wildlife Alliance in 2019. As President of the HFWA Board of Directors, I work to protect the wild places I most love, alongside a dedicated team of terrific people.

I am a birdwatcher and nature photographer, hobbies I shared with my late husband, Randy, an avid outdoorsman whom I met on a rafting trip in Island Park. For more than 30 years, our cabin there nurtured our spirits. I serve on the board to ensure that future generations—including my own grandchildren—can witness the return of the sandhill cranes in spring, hear the elk bugle in fall, and marvel at a tiny ermine in the snow, or a huge moose wandering by our mountain home.
