Board Member
Tracy River discovered Henry’s Fork Wildlife Alliance in 2021 when volunteering on a Henry’s Lake shoreline restoration project. He immediately joined as an enthusiastic volunteer for HFWA. The following year, he was invited to participate as a board member. His wildlife conservation volunteer work includes projects such as derelict fence removal, noxious weed abatement, bear-awareness projects, riparian restoration, creel surveys, fish hatchery spawning, trout tributary studies and he is a member of the Raptor Rescue Network for the Teton Raptor Center.
Tracy's dedication to wildlife conservation stems from a life-long love of fishing and other outdoor activities. These experiences drive his commitment to wildlife conservation and wildlife habitat improvement.
In his professional life, Tracy worked as a deputy sheriff-paramedic with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department specializing in mountain search & rescue, wilderness medicine and public safety SCUBA diving.
Tracy lives full time in Island Park Idaho with his wife Michelle and two Goldendoodles, Wyatt & Cody. Tracy is an avid wildlife & landscape photographer. He also enjoys fly fishing, hiking, kayaking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and traveling the country with his wife and dogs in their RV.
