CONTEST RULES & GUIDELINES

Originality: All entries must be the original work of the artist. No traced images, copyrighted characters (like Smokey Bear or Disney characters), or AI-generated art.

Media: You can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, or collage. Please ensure the art is flat (no 3D objects) so that it can be scanned or displayed easily.

Size: Submissions should be on 8.5″ x 11″ or 11″ x 17″ paper.

One Entry per Person: Each artist may submit only one piece of artwork.

Identification: Please clearly print the artist’s name, age, and a parent’s phone number on the back of the artwork (tags will be available at the HFWA booth to place on back of artwork). Do not put the name on the front of the art to ensure “blind” judging.

Content: Artwork must focus on the theme: “Wild About Bear Safety” which might include ideas about the best ways to recreate, live, or visit bear country safely.

Rights: By entering, you give the Henrys Fork Wildlife Alliance permission to share your artwork on social media and in local news publications and use for our bear education work.

Pick up: Artwork can be picked up at the end of the festival (3PM) at the HFWA booth. Any art not picked up will be stored for 30 days. Your parent can reach out to INFO@henrysforkwildlifealliance.org so that we can arrange a way to get your artwork back to you.

WHY ENTER?

First off, you’ll be famous! Winning artwork will be displayed on our Facebook and Instagram pages! Second, you can make an impact: Your art could be featured in our Bear Aware messaging in the newspaper this summer. Lastly, help us celebrate nature: Help teach our community how to keep both people and bears safe.
